This policy explains how Chirag Automation (“we”, “us”) handles personal data when you visit linesight.chiragautomation.com, contact us, request a trial, book a call, or use our LineSight dashboard. We follow the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and other applicable Indian law.
Who we are
Chirag Automation makes LineSight, production-tracking software for manufacturers. We are based in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. For anything about your personal data, write to hello@chiragautomation.com.
What we collect
- Details you send us: your name, company, email, phone number and the contents of your message, when you use the contact or free-trial form, message us on WhatsApp, book a call or email us. A trial request also asks what you make, your team size and how you track production today.
- Dashboard accounts: if your company uses LineSight, the name, email address and role of each user your company sets up, and a record of the production entries they make.
- Technical data: our hosting provider may automatically record your IP address, browser type and the pages you request, in standard server logs used for security and reliability.
We do not ask for sensitive personal data, and we do not knowingly collect data from children under 18.
How we use it
- To reply to your enquiry, set up a trial you asked for, and hold calls you booked.
- To send quotes, proposals and project updates you asked for.
- To run LineSight for your company and keep its records accurate.
- To keep the website and dashboard secure and working.
We do not sell or rent personal data, and we do not use it for advertising. We will only send you marketing emails if you ask us to, and you can stop them at any time.
Cookies and analytics
This website does not set advertising or tracking cookies. The LineSight dashboard uses one session cookie to keep you signed in; it is required for the dashboard to work and is removed when you log out or it expires. If we add analytics in the future, we will update this policy first and use privacy-friendly tools where possible.
Who we share it with
We share personal data only with service providers that help us run the business, such as our email, website and server hosting (Vercel, Amazon Web Services in Mumbai), contact form (Web3Forms) and messaging (WhatsApp) providers, and only as far as they need it to provide their service. We may also disclose data when the law requires us to.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry emails for as long as needed to respond and to follow up on any resulting project, usually no more than three years after our last contact, unless the law requires us to keep records for longer.
How we protect it
We use reasonable security measures, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access controls on our email and business systems. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and will notify you and the authorities of a breach as the law requires.
Your rights
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask us to:
- tell you what personal data we hold about you and how we use it;
- correct, complete or update it;
- erase it, where we no longer need it;
- withdraw consent you have given; and
- nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf.
